The newest addition to the beloved franchise, Super Bomberman R now available on the Nintendo Switch.
You just picked up a speed boost, plus an extra bomb power up, your friend stupidly ducks into a corner to avoid the bombs they laid. You race over, drop a bomb and trap him- but you accidentally double tapped and now you’re trapped too! That’s what usually happens to me in Bomberman. It sounds frustrating, but it’s why I’m so excited for Super Bomberman R! Super Bomberman R now available on the Nintendo Switch, thanks to Konami, and it is ready with a day one patch that will include updates and features like:
- Online Battle Mode
- Camera lock option during battle
- Ability to use up to 8 Joy-Cons in local multiplayer
- and Russian and Chinese (Traditional and Simplified0 subtitles
Super Bomberman R is here to give players their opportunity to blow each other up in their numerous mazes. All the classic elements from the franchise are back as well as new ones like the ability to customize the central heroes. Players will be able to use free ‘Gems’ acquired during the game to add a variety of cool accessories like shells, lanterns, and hats; new characters with unique bombs; and new levels featuring additional hazards such as trampolines and moving floors to the main game. This gives players countless ways to destroy their enemies, or in my case myself.
Aside from the ability to play with up to 8 players locally or online, Super Bomberman R has a ‘Story’ mode spanning five worlds and 50 stages where you and a friend can work together to clear the stages and save the Bomberman galaxy.
Superbomber Man R is ready to bring classic fun to the new console with everything you love about the franchise, plus so new bells and whistles to get you hooked all over again.
