I’m admittedly only a few episodes into Succession, the drama from HBO, but I’m already hooked. The series from creator Jesse Armstrong is about a feuding family in an ongoing power struggle among themselves for control over their father’s expansive media empire is engrossing drama punctuated by moments of black comedy. The comedic overtones of Succession shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, as Armstrong made a name for himself working on great British comedies such as Peep Show and The Thick of It, and Succession is executive produced by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell.
