Starfury convention organizers unleashed the fury of Classic Doctor Who fans everywhere this past week with a horribly placed comment via Facebook. The convention organizers, known for their celebration of the NuWho genre with Return to the Eleventh Hour Event, let fly a harsh commentary of the 70 year-old actor. Colin Baker is best known for his role as the 6th Doctor in the Classic Doctor Who series.
Though Colin Baker had not been invited to the Return to the Eleventh Hour convention, he was still deeply hurt by the incident, replying on his personal Twitter account (@SawbonesHex) that being “fat ugly and grey is better than being cowardly and unkind.”
The incident leaves some fans of the 50 year-old television show wondering where to spend their hard earned money in support of the fandom, and how supportive Starfury is of its fans.
