Over the weekend, Star Wars Celebration has been underway in Anaheim, celebrating every available aspect of the those adventures from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Without a doubt, the most exciting event at the Star Wars Celebration was the panel for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which culminated in the release of the fantastic new trailer for JJ Abrams‘ continuation of the Star Wars saga. We have a collection of photos from the panel which featured Abrams, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, as well as the stars of The Force Awakens Oscar Issac, John Boyega, and Daisy Ridley. Of course, the new cast would be joined my member of the original cast with Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, and Anthony Daniels all making appearances — Harrison Ford was unable to attend. As the final collision between old and new in the Star Wars universe, the classic droid R2-D2 was joined on stage by BB-8, the new droid from The Force Awakens that won over the crowd. More importantly, it appears that Abrams and Kennedy are winning over fans again after the bitter aftertaste the prequels left behind.
