See what I mean? It could be because Pegg wrote the script, and it looks much better than the last outing for sure. And more Simon Pegg is always a good thing, but how many ships is the Federation of Planets going to lose before it’s over? The newest film in the rebooted franchise, Paramount released this Star Trek Beyond trailer yesterday, and it shows a somewhat brighter and faster paced sequel than I was expecting after 2013’s Into Darkness. Hopefully fans won’t approach this one so negatively.
I actually enjoyed Into Darkness, and am looking forward to this one, mostly because of the script by Pegg. It certainly looks exciting. Star Trek Beyond is directed by Justin Lin and stars Idris Elba, Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zach Quinto, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, and Karl Urban.
