It has to be tough for Pierce Brosnan. In his upcoming feature Some Kind of Beautiful, the former James Bond is tasked with the laborious task of having to juggle romantic entanglements with both Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba. Poor, poor Pierce. Some Kind of Beautiful is directed by Tom Vaughan, probably best known for the comedy What Happens in Vegas. The trailer for the film does make it look like a rather generic rom-com, though there’s always hope that a more interesting film is being sold with a very broad trailer.
Some Kind of Beautiful will be available exclusively on DirecTV starting July 23, 2015 before being available in theaters and VOD on August 21st, 2015.
The official synopsis for Some Kind of Beautiful:
Richard (Pierce Brosnan) is a successful college professor who gives up a steady stream of one-night stands and beautiful undergrads for fatherhood with much younger Kate (Jessica Alba). Three years later when Kate falls in love with someone else and moves out, she sends her sister, Olivia (Salma Hayek), to make sure Richard is properly caring for their son. Assuming Richard is back to his irresponsible playboy lifestyle, Olivia is shocked when she starts to fall in love with him herself.
