Fellow Fanboy, Sloane Morgan Siegel (no relation to the Superman co-creator) talks about voicing Tim Drake in Gotham Knights and the final season of, Dwight in Shining Armor.
Award-winning actor and voice behind the mask Sloane Morgan Siegel is the greatest detective version of Robin AKA Tim Drake, in the highly anticipated Gotham Knights, the upcoming action role-playing video game based on the DC Comics character Batman, portraying one of the best and brightest in the Bat-Family. Although the Gotham Knights has been slightly delayed its release due to the nature of 2020, we still got a change to talk to him about landing the project, what it means to him to become a part of the DC Universe, and his past and current acting credits including: Dwight in Shining Armor, Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, CBS’ Pure Genius, & Partners, ABC’s Modern Family, and Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush (now on Netflix).
Siegel is a genuine young man who has a heart as big as his smile and not to take anything away from Jay Lycurgo who will be portraying the live-action version of Tim Drake in Season 3 of Titans on HBO Max, but once you hear the passion in his voice about Batman, the Bat-Family and Robin, you can only wonder why Sloane wasn’t cast in live-action role as well.
Siegel also mentions how he lost out to Stewart Allen for the voice over role as Damien Wayne, the love child of Batman and Talia al Ghul, making landing Tim Drake that much more of a sweeter victory as Damien has all the darker qualities of Bruce Wayne, while Tim is what Bats aspired to be as the Dark Knight.
On top of voice acting, live action productions and MOCAP, he is also writing numerous projects, including his own comic book and naturally with the surname Siegel, he would love to one day pen a Superman title.
