Producer, actress and Nak Muay Farang, Shannon Murray stars in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) drama Rag Doll. An independent film that just finished its limited theatrical release in Los Angeles and hits VOD today. The film follows a struggling, lower income woman, named Nora (Murray), who is trying to make it out of her underprivileged lifestyle, while trying to make ends mean, take care of an ailing mother, all while trying to make her dreams come true.
The film is direct by Asian-American martial arts practitioner, Bailey Kobe. Rag Doll was conceptualized by Kobe, who noticed the women in his gym that survived violence in their personal lives that brought them to training in MMA
We spoke with Murray about Rag Doll, her upcoming project, Miami Heat and attending a Lion Fight Muay Thai show when they return to Los Angeles.
