Actor, writer, filmmaker and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, Sean Patrick Flanery talks about his new movie, Born a Champion that’s available now on VOD, DVD and Blu-ray.
Sean Patrick Flanery (Powder, The Boondock Saints, Suicide Kings) along with Alex Ranarivelo (American Wrestler: The Wizard, The Ride, Pray For Rain) have written their love letter to Mixed Martial Art (MMA) and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) in the film Born a Champion. Flanery, a BJJ practitioner, who trains under the Renzo Gracie Academy, has made probably the best movie featuring MMA to date.
I was lucky enough to talk to my fellow brother on the mat (I trained in the sister arts of wrestling and judo) about how impactful BJJ has been to his life and has even received high praise from MMA legend and the first ever UFC Middleweight Champion, Pat Miletich in bringing Born a Champion to life.
