All of my 8-year-old dreams have come true! Scooby-Doo teaming up with the WWE fighting demons race? SIGN ME UP! Scooby Doo (Frank Welker), Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) join forces with WWE Superstars and Legends, The Undertaker, “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, Goldust, Stardust, Kofi Kingston, Paige, Stephanie McMahon and a whole host of others team up to catch the Demon Driver.
“The huge fan reaction to Scooby-Doo! Wrestlemania Mystery proved how well the gang paired with the WWE Superstars. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) is thrilled to parner once again with the WWE to create Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, WBHE Vice President, Family and Animation Marketing.
This is the funniest team-up by far between the WWE and Hanna-Barbera. The bitter-sweet portion of the feature is that it’s Dusty Rhodes final performance before his passing in 2015. However, with all the great one-liners like The Undertaker proclaiming the Legends vehicle to “rust in piece” is just the type of Scooby-Doo humor we’ve been accustom to for the past 47 years.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Warner Bros. to bring another Scooby-Doo! and WWE adventure to the fans of both brands. The timeless characters of Scooby-Doo!, couple with our iconic WWE Superstarts, have proven to be true crowd-pleasers worldwide,” said Michael Luisi, President of WWE Studios.
It may be cliche at this point by using every Superstar’s catch phrases and in-ring gestures, but that’s what makes marking out so much fun. Think a comedic, animated version of Death Race as each of the WWE Superstars gets their own magnetic boots to make repairs as the the race continues.
This is pure family and WWE Sport Entertainment fun…if only The Miz got beat up again, but like his theme song says, “I came to play!” and we came to enjoy Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon.
Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon is available on Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital HD Combo Pack, Tuesday, August, 9, 2016.

The Verdict
Scooby-Doo, WWE, Legends and racing!?! This is almost as good as getting ringside seats to WrestleMania!
