It seems that everyone who’s anyone in Hollywood wants to “make mine Marvel”. They’ve been lining up A-list stars for roles in their films for years now, and it seems the trend won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
This morning on the Howard Stern Show, actor Ryan Phillipe let Howard, and his audience, know that he is in talks with Marvel/Netflix for a role in one of their upcoming productions. He didn’t say what role though. With the relative secrecy that Marvel usually requires surrounding their films/TV shows, the fact that he mentions it tells me that the talks are pretty far along, and that an announcement could be made any day now.
There are still many roles not cast for Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and the Defenders, and Phillipe didn’t elaborate enough to know if he’ll be hero or villain, so all we can do is speculatye at this point. Could Phillipe be taking a trip to Kun Lun?
Phillipe would make a pretty good Danny Rand/Iron Fist, don’t you think?
