In this new comedy from Lionsgate, Zac Efron plays Jason Kelly a Beta Male who in one week will marry the boss’ uptight uber-controlling daughter, putting him on the fast track in making partner at her daddy’s law firm. However, when necrotic Jason is tricked into driving his foul-mouthed granddad, Dick [Robert De Niro], to Daytona for spring break, his pending marriage and upcoming partnership might be flushed down the drain. From outrageous frat parties, bar fights and an epic night of karaoke, Dick is on a quest to live his life to the fullest and bring Jason along kicking-and-screaming. Ultimately, on the wildest journey of their lives, “dirty” Grandpa and his straight-laced grandson discover they can learn from one another and form the bond they never had.
This outlandish comedy also stars Julianne Hough, Aubrey Plaza, Dermot Mulroney and Adam Pally.
