No animals were harmed in the making of this film. 70 members of the cast and crew were.
The good people over at Drafthouse Films are reviving Roar, a 1981 cinematic oddity starring Tippi Hedren and a young Melanie Griffith. As the trailer states, no animals were harmed but that courtesy isn’t extended to the members of the cast and crew. Roar has immediately climbed its way towards the top of my Must See List, not only because it’s crazy but also because it’s being revived by the same people who brought us Miami Connection. Written, produced, directed, and starring Noel Marshall, who was an executive producer on The Exorcist, Roar was the only time that Marshall was allowed to direct, possibly for the personal safety of the general public. Roar claws its way back into theaters April 17th, 2015.
