Alpha Omega Con, the Longest Running Christian Based Comic Con Celebrates its 9th Anniversary on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
The Alpha Omega Con is the longest-running Christian-themed, family-friendly comic book/pop-culture convention in the United States. Founded in 2013 and took a 2 year hiatus during the Covid crisis, Alpha Omega Con continues to advance their inclusive, family-friendly and faithful message allowing open dialogue between Christians and non-believers to find common ground over popular culture.
We were able to reconnect with Ralph Miley, of Alpha Omega Con leading up to the 9th anniversary after a two year hiatus and find out the plans for this year’s events.
Alpha Omega Con presents a unique experience where faith converges with the fantastic. Attendees will find themselves part of a welcoming community that shares a deep appreciation for comics, pop culture, and a firm belief in the transformative power of God’s love, as depicted through stories of hope, heroism, and sacrifice. Allowing participants to immerse themselves in a world where imagination knows no limits.
Alpha Omega Con features a series of insightful panels and workshops led by industry professionals. These sessions provide a deeper understanding of how comics can influence and reflect spiritual lives, enriching the overall convention experience. One panel will be a voice over workshop featuring my good friend Katie Leigh. There will also be a horror panel, as well as on regarding Christianity co-existing with popular culture.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet special guests from both the comic book world and the realm of faith. Whether you are among the faithful, are looking for a wholesome experience for your children or an inquisitor of Christianity from the Apostolic Traditions down to the Evangelical Movement, all are welcome.
