On Friday, April 21st, it will be one year since we lost one of the most brilliant musical minds of any age and in celebration of the life the Purple One, Rogue Music Alliance (RMA) is releasing a special EP titled Deliverence. Six ewly undiscovered studio recordings from 2006-2008 on the anniversary of his one year memorial.
“I believe Deliverance is a timely release with everything going on in the world today, and in light of the one-year anniversary of his passing. I hope when people hear Prince singing these songs it will bring comfort to many,” said Ian Boxill, who co-wrote and co-produced all of the tracks beginning in 2006.
The song entitled, I Am is one of those most funk infused singles that has been released since the 1970s, while Touch Me is a soulful display of just how easily Prince was able to switch genres, especially for a song that would have easily fit on a Billy Joel album.
It is painfully clear that these new songs are unfinished, but even in this raw state, it is proof that there are few artists who come along only once in a lifetime and Prince was one of them. The multi-platinum award winning artist has left a void that will not be filled for generations to come and for that alone, this EP will be played on repeat all weekend.

Deliverance
The Verdict
Prince’s Deliverance is an unpolished EP that easily shows that even unfinished tracks by this legend can still touch one’s soul.
