Peter Jang Goes from Junior Olympian Taekwondo Fighter to Leading Action Star with his latest endeavor, ‘Mask‘.
Peter Jang has gone from competitive Taekwondo (TKD) fighter to leading actor and entrepreneur with his own production company Simplicity Pictures. Jang’s award-winning short film ‘Mask‘ tells the story of a combat veteran trying to escape his PTSD by working out at a boxing gym when a confrontation with a mysterious man amplifies his worst fears. Jang is the up-and-coming talent to watch in 2023. Coming off a big win for his short film ‘Mask‘, which he stars in and directed, at the 2022 Marina Del Rey Film Festival for ‘Best Narrative,’ Peter is now ready to tackle his next slew of projects including his recently wrapped production of SHADOW FORCE directed by Joe Carnahan and starring Kerry Washington, a feature film that is currently in development, as well as a screenplay titled SIMULATION. Along with all of his current projects, Peter will also most recently was a featured panelist at this year’s Los Angeles Comic Con for their “The Art of Action – AKA How to be a Badass in Film” special panel.
Jang has transitioned from stuntman to leading action star, his recent success with MASK, as well as his illustrious career having acted and performed stunts in multiple projects including ‘The Suicide Squad‘, ‘S.W.A.T.‘, HBO’s ‘West World‘, ‘The Forever Purge‘ as well as, Grayson Earth One, Super Power Beat Down: White Ranger vs Scorpion and Green Ranger vs. Ryu which together has amassed over 30 million views between the series.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Jang moved to California to pursue a BA in Economics from UC San Diego. Once finishing his time at university, Peter moved to Los Angeles and began pursuing a career in acting/stunt work and absorbing as much information about the industry as possible while getting started. With a background in Taekwondo as a junior Olympian fighter with 5 US National Taekwondo Championship medals and 3 Ohio State Champion titles.
