Othercide, Focus Home Interactive and Lightbulb Crew’s tactical RPG, is out now on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One
I’ve gotten pretty into tactical games lately. I’ve realized they’re basically D&D campaigns with much less prep work. So a game that basically modernizes traditional D&D roles with a western-ish motif has pretty much got me hooked. Focus Home Interactive and Lightbulb Crew have launched Othercide on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One today! In Othercide you lead and sacrifice your daughters to take on the nightmarish creatures that definitely look like they’re out of some kind of hell. The game also boasts a Dynamic Timeline System that makes when just as important as the what and where. A facet even the best dungeon masters struggle with. Here’s the official synopsis from Focus Home Interactive:
A nightmarish world of monstrous foes awaits you in Othercide. Lead your army of Daughters against epic bosses in a spectacular battle of actions and counters with the Dynamic Timeline System. Death will inevitably win out, but each doomed attempt opens up new game-changing abilities and opportunities for the next run.

The game gives me Sin City grit with its color palette. It takes a lot for me to get interested in games heavily focus on black and white, but Othercide is definitely using the color medium masterfully to enhance itself. Switch owners can look forward to the game hitting the Switch later this summer. Lastly, Steam users can also purchase and exclusive bundle that includes the base game, its original soundtrack, and a digital artbook; all at a special discounted price.
