Orlando Draven, the front man and lyricist of the Los Angeles, CA band Zeistencroix Discusses Their New EP, Cruix-Fixion on August 26, 2022.
The post-Industrial Metal band, Zeistencroix are releasing their new EP entitled Cruix-Fixion on August 26, 2022. This trio of metal renegades who merge together genres of alternative, rock, grunge, jazz, and, of course, metal, blended with an international sound that creates their universal appeal.
Orlando Draven sat with us to discuss the influences that lead to the formation of Zeistencroix, their sound and their conscious efforts in transcending genres. Draven makes mention that even writing a song that does not fit a particular genre can still make it onto a Zeistencroix album because they make music within the band and not for various side projects.

Zeistencroix first single off Cruix-Fixion is the song “Ice Queen”, which struck me as having been influenced by Sisters of Mercy, a slight departure from their previous works. You can listen below:
“The new record from the Los Angeles based post-industrial band Zeistencroix entitled ‘Cruix-Fixion‘ is their most impressive work to date. the 5-song ep sonically paves the way with dark heartfelt rock ballads to all out wall of sound crushing industrial metal. the band has evolved abundantly with expressive drum patterns, growling bass lines, hulking guitar riffs, and a wide range of vocal methodologies. with the songs ‘ice queen’ and ‘we’re already dead’ finessed with the opulent fairy dust of Tim Palmer, and the contrasting tremendous transients of ‘Howling Wolf’‘, ‘Kontrol‘, and ‘Lux‘, the journey through the realm of crucifixion is quite the gratifying listening experience,” said music producer, Alex Crescioni about working with Draven and Zeistencroix.
This EP written by Draven is one to keep an ear out for as it comes to Spotify and other music sources on August 26, 2022.
