Nyko Technologies – E3 Exclusive Interview
Nyko Technologies is a manufacturer of third-party accessories for various gaming consoles. Nyko is well-known for several of their third-party gaming accessories. For example, their Wand and Kama are very popular with Wii owners because they allow for more responsive attachments and have even won awards. The company was founded in 1996 with their headquarter located in Los Angeles, California. With this year being their 20th anniversary and E3 being hosted in their hometown, Nyko brought out some amazing products for E3 2016.
For E3 2016, they brought out a new device for E3 attendees to try out that aims to improve the virtual reality experience. Their new device focuses on the safety of the VR player by wrapping a vibrating bracelet around the player’s wrist and establishing a play zone with four blocks. If the player starts to move too far away from the center of the play zone and past the perimeter, the intensity of the vibration increases, letting the player know to return to the middle. Nyko also showcased their popular charging stations, which can charge both PS4 and Xbox One controllers, cooling systems, and controller speakers.
It’s safe to say that Nyko made a strong impression at E3 this year and they’re making their mark in areas of gaming that others haven’t even though about.
