The first look at Win That War! a new age real-time strategy game was unveiled today by independent French gaming developers, Insane Unity.
Win That War! features large scale battles that heavily favors multiplayer gameplay, but also features solo and MMO style campaigns all taking place in a retro sci-fi universe. A unique twist to Win That War!‘s universe is that the planets are generated in real time to give players an endlessly evolving game with an indefinite amount of scenarios. Along with the ever-shifting terrain, players will have to find the balance between micro-managing individual units while advancing the overall campaign strategy during an all out war.
There are several announced game features and rewards, with much more to be revealed as time goes on:
– An MMO with real-time strategy gameplay in a procedurally generated universe
– 3 factions that players can choose from; each with their own strengths and weaknesses
– After a planet is generated, the surface becomes broken down into multiple sets of territories, different environment types, and topographies to ensure that there is new gameplay all the time
– Each territory can be played simultaneously by several players from the same factions
– The main objective is to establish a base, defend the base and start capturing enemy territory
– Basic resources are required to run factories and the production of units. Certain resources are only available through trades with friends and foes which adds another dynamic strategic layer
– Unlockable blueprints help uncover the game’s deep upgrade tree; which includes over 60 planned units and different support playstyle upgrades
– Along with base battles, another key aspect of Win That War! is to choose a specialty best suited for their team and cooperation is just as important!
– Extremely immersive internal communication system that can track player progress, provide updates on associates and allow players to discuss tactics in real time
