New Adventures With the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors in January From Titan Comics

We are well into Peter Capaldi’s tenure as the rogue Time Lord from Gallifrey, but there are still many of you that miss David Tenant and Matt Smith’s portrayals of the time-and-space traveling alien and his blue box. Well, have no fear Whovians, Titan Comics has got you covered! Since picking up the license to produce new Doctor Who comics in January, they have been exploring the Doctor’s adventures in-between televised stories, and doing it wonderfully. They have two new collections coming in January, featuring the 10th and 11th Doctors as they battle monsters and madmen throughout all of time and space.

Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Volume One: Revolutions of Terror features David Tenant as his famous pinstriped and messy haired version of the Doctor as he meets a new companion while still dealing with his tragic separation from Donna Noble. While tackling an incursion of psychic parasites in Brooklyn, New York, the Doctor meets Gabriella “Gabby” Gonzalez, a young woman stuck in a dead-end job running her father’s laundromat. She has always dreamed of more for herself, whether college or making it as an artist, she’s just wanted an escape from he dull existence. Gabby, be careful what you wish for.

Whether battling his own nightmares, invisible creatures on the Day of the Dead, psychic parasites threatening to destroy New York, or a galactic conspiracy in the universe’s most famous art gallery, but with death looming just around the corner is it too late for the Doctor and his newest companion to save the day? Written by Nick Abadzis, drawn and colored by Elena Casagrande and Arianna Florean, lettering by Comicraft, and covers by Alice X. Zhang, Doctor Who Volume One: Revolutions of Terror collects issues 1-5 of the new ongoing series, and will be available in the states in January from titan Comics.

Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor Volume One: After Life stars Matt Smith as his fan-favorite bow-tie wearing, fez brandishing version of the Doctor as he meets Alice Obiefune, a young girl who has lost everything; her mother, her job, and her apartment. Alice is looking for some good news when in pops a strange blue box, and a strange man with floppy hair. Boarding the TARDIS, the Doctor begins to show her there is still beauty in life and the universe.

The two will have to defeat aliens in the streets of London, expose a devious mystery in the heart of the Bayou in the 1930s, face a shapeshifting horror on a scientific research station, and discover the truth behind an austerity-hit pleasure planet. All in a days work for the Doctor, but will Alice survive the trip? And through all of this there’s a storm coming, one that threatens both the Doctor and Alice by offering them their deepest, fondest wishes… but what happens if they accept? Written by Al Ewing and Rob Williams, with art by Simon Fraser, Boo Cook, Gary Caldwell and Hi-Fi Color, lettering by Comicraft, and covers by Alice X. Zhang, Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor Volume One: After Life collects issues 1-5 of the new ongoing series, and will be available on this side of the pond in January from Titan Comics.
