Neal McDonough and Michael Cudlitz Discuss Their Film ‘Red Stone‘ a white knuckle thriller of Modern Western.
Two of my absolute favorites, Neal McDonough and Michael Cudlitz sit with us remotely to chat about their latest film, ‘Red Stone‘ coming to theaters and VOD on Friday, December 3, 2021.
Neal McDonough and Michael Cudlitz have cut out careers has heavies throughout the years whether on stage, television or films and ‘Red Stone‘ is no exception.
As kind and complimentary as McDonough and Cudlitz are to each other in real life is just how heavy handed their characters Boon (McDonough) and Jed (Cudlitz) get with each other on screen.
These two reading the phone book for 97 minutes (the exact run time of ‘Red Stone‘) would be exciting, so to see the two of them perform in such a powerfully told independent film with far more gray areas than straight up white hat versus black hat, good versus evil traditional westerns, is refreshing.
This was my first time chatting with McDonough, so when Damien Darhk pops on your screen and is quite pleasant, you fanboy out just a bit. This was also the first interview with Cudlitz, who I have met several times at random events and had short conversations with, but now in a professional setting it is no wonder why so many people enjoy working with extraordinary talent who has a 30-plus year career.
Official Synopsis:
A dangerous hitman (Neal McDonough) is tasked with hunting down a teenager who witnessed the murder of his older brother at the hands of a ruthless Southern crime lord (Michael Cudlitz). The hired gun must track down the boy before either the rival henchmen or the F.B.I. find him first. As the hours tick down, the hitman begins to question his deadly ways and must choose which side he belongs to.
