NBC’s Superstore celebrates 100 episodes with Episode 2 of Season 6 entitled, California Part 2. We left off last week with Amy (America Ferrera) and Jonah (Ben Feldman) sharing their excitement about their trip to the Golden State.

It’s now Amy’s last day and Glenn (Mark McKinney) returns to his original mantel as the Cloud 9 store manager. While everyone is excited for the couple’s departure, Amy realizes that her turquoise ring is missing from her nightstand and that she confides in Dina (Lauren Ash) that he may have taken it to finger out her ring size in order to propose marriage. Dina has no problem in reminding Amy that there are tons of Beta Males in California, so that if it doesn’t workout with Jonah, there’s always another kombucha drinker around the corner.

Mateo (Nico Santos) continues his arrangement in being the manager’s assistant, which Glenn doesn’t fully understand but is happy to continue on with everything. The two plan a video montage as a goodbye to the couple. Dina tries to designate Sandra (Kalilo Kauahi) as her new best friend and as naturally the quick wit, one-liners keep coming.

What was great about this 100th episode of Superstore is that it continued to push the story on rather than what some series have done for the centennial celebration. It wasn’t a retrospective nor an over the top stand alone episode, it just continues to push that narrative of how funny this series has been and continuing on with this sixed season makes me excited to see if the cast and crew would like to make it to 200 episodes.

NBC has been consistent with keeping the laughs going on Thursday nights for four decades and thanks to Superstore, that won’t be slowing down anytime soon.

Superstore airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

Summary

Superstore has just celebrated 100 episodes and after a night full of laughs, I ‘m looking forward to another 100 to come.
