Music Tastes Good Festival Food Lineup Announced!!!

Presented by 89.9 KCRW, the Music Tastes Good Festival Food Lineup looks like it’s cooking up a fresh batch of delicious artists

music_tastes_good_small_headerLet’s face it, the whole outdoor musical festival comes down to two things: Music and Food. I mean you may choose to enjoy those things with enhanced levels of sobriety, but that’s a personal choice and not one that is necessary or required. Music and Food are the heart of every outdoor music festival. The Music Tastes Good Festival gets that and does not beat around the bush. Music Tastes Good (MTG) is about good Music and good Food. Some of the artists performing are  The Specials, Dr. Dog, Rival Sons, Iron and Wine, Squeeze, De La Soul, Sylvan Esso, and Squeeze. It’s a 3-day festival filled with live music and some of Long Beach’s greatest restaurants, including: Robert Earl’s BBQ, Restauration, The Federal Bar, Pier 76, Primal Alchemy, Working Class Kitchen, Pie Bar, Sophy’s Fine Thai and Cambodian Cuisine and Roe Restaurant & Fish Market.

Here’s all of the information:

3-Day VIP and Saturday VIP ticket holders will enjoy the “Farm-to-Taste Experience,” an epic farm-to-table dinner that will take place on the second night of the 3-day festival at Downtown Long Beach’s beautiful, Latin-inspired gastro-pub Padre’s Restaurant. The meal will feature locally-sourced food, prepared by six of the best chefs in Long Beach, who are each teaming up with a personally selected guest chef.

“Farm-To-Taste Experience” Chef Parings Will Be:

Eddie Ruiz (Public Beer and Wine) & Michael Puglisi (Electric City Butcher)

Luis Navarro (Lola’s Mexican Cuisine) & Diego Isunza Kahlo ( Private Chef in Mexico City)

Arthur Gonzalez (Panxa Cocina) & Rahm Fama (Former host of Food Network’s “Meat and Potatoes”)

David MacLennan (James Republic) & Makoto Okuwa (Makoto)

Paul Buchanan (Primal Alchemy Catering) & David Coleman

Phillip Pretty (Restauration) & TBD

Presented by 89.9 KCRW, Music Tastes Good will take place the weekend ofSeptember 23-25 on the streets of historic Downtown Long Beach (335 E. Broadway, Long Beach, CA 90802), conveniently located within walking distance of the Metro Blue Line.

Festival founder/curator, Josh Fischel, himself a seasoned touring musician, and 20 year resident of Long Beach says, “Our city is a vibrant, evolving place that’s ripe with community, commerce and culture. Within our city limits, we hold the second largest port in the United States, and proudly claim a dynamic food, music and arts scene. We are leaders in the crusade for equality and environmental rights, residing on the cusp of where Los Angeles and Orange County connect. This is now. Being the world class city we are, we have been long overdue a festival that mirrors the passion and diversity that we experience from our neighbors everyday. It’s time to show off Long Beach and draw the rest of the world in. It’s time for others to experience what us locals have always known. It’s time to allow our residents, once a year, the chance to see Downtown in a different light. MUSIC. TASTES. GOOD.
