Their chance meeting in Scare School, pitted Wazowski’s book smarts, against Sulley’s instincts.
Don (Joel Murray), Squishy (Peter Sohn), Ms. Squibbles (Julie Sweeney), Sulley (John Goodman), Mike (Billy Crystal), Terri (Sean Hayes) and Terry (Dave Foley) are the OK Fraternity in Monsters University
When Dean Hardscrabble (voice: Helen Mirren) kicks Mike out of the program for not being scary and Sulley for not living up to his potential, the two must reluctantly team up, joining the most hapless fraternity on campus, Oozma Kappa (OK) and win the Scare Games against rival fraternity, Roar Omega Roar lead by Johnny (voice: Nathan Fillion) and Mike’s former roommate Randy (voice: Steve Buscemi) to earn their spots back into the scaring program. Rarely does a prequel do justice to the original, but for those who grew up watching the Monsters, Inc. will be more than pleased with the final result as they, like Mike and Sulley enter college. Parents will be able to enjoy this family film as it touches on several college experiences that will spark a few memories, especially those who were Greek.
Take Revenge of the Nerds, add several familiar creatures, some amazing Pixar animation, a fun script, set the blender to puree and you have Monsters University, a fun, family film that adults can enjoy without their kids.
