At the start of this one Danny Mitchell comes out strong but ends up landing a cup shot to Marcus Sursa. However, the low kick doesn’t stop Mitchell from landing damaging body shots. Sursa isn’t intimidated and answers with several body shots of his own, even after claiming another low blow, this time the referee doesn’t buy it.
These light heavyweights are putting on a show and Mitchell lands body shot after body shot ending the first round.
The second round started off the same as the first, with Mitchell landing kicks and body blows as Sursa answers with one big shot to every four blows landed from Mitchell. Sursa has tremendous stamina and a very strong chin to take this kind of punishment.
The third and final round is no different, as Mitchell lands the same combinations of leg kicks and body blows, rocking Sursa against the ropes. Sursa hasn’t been knocked down yet and continues to exchange with the dominant Mitchell.
Mitchell lands a devastating right cross that echos through the 1st Bank Arena. With 10 clicks before the end of the third both men swing for the fences and as the final bell tolls, both men exchange hugs, leading to a unanimous decision victory for Danny Mitchell.
