While we patiently wait for McFarlane Toys to release the rest of the Teen Titans in their glorious toy forms after they released Cyborg, they continue to release more and more awesome figures in their DC Multiverse line, as well as numerous others. I mean look at this Bizzarro figure from the DC Multiverse line:
Needless to say McFarlane is absolutely doing amazing things with toys. This brings us to the just-announced McFarlane Toys Batman Classic TV Series Collection. This incredible set was just announced by McFarlane toys and has five pieces in its first set that include Batman, Robin, The Joker, The Batmobile, and The Batcave Playset! McFarlane Toys and Target have launched pre-orders for the Batman Classic TV Series Collection in conjunction with Target’s The Collector’s Spot Summer Geek-Out. Target’s The Collector’s Spot Summer Geek-Out is a month-long celebration of geek culture & fandom!
McFarlane Toys Batman Classic TV Series Collection are incredibly detailed 6-inch figures with classic articulation. Each figure has two action word bubbles accessories and is showcased in a card-backed blister with the iconic old-school look of the 1960’s Batman series. They will be available in-store in August and online in September exclusively at Target. MSRP is $17.99. All figures are sold separately. The Batcave Playset and the Batmobile MSRP is $29.99.
Unlike their DC Multiverse Line, these figures run in the 6-inch scale versus the 7-inch scale. But it does not seem to have affected the detailing in the figures in any way, though it looks to have removed a few points of articulation that are normally found in the 7-inch scale. Also, as awesome as the bubble accessories are, it is a bit disappoint to not have interchangeable hands or a plethora of gadgets. The lack of a shark repellent accessory is a missed opportunity. However, the lowered price point does help.
The figures, the Batmobile, and the Batcave playset are available to pre-order at target.com and will release in-store in August and Online in September exclusively at Target.
