What happens when you take one part Terminator, one part RoboCop, three parts Buckaroo Banzai, a splash of Duke Nukem, just a dash of the 80s arcade classic Pit Fighter, a sprinkle of 70s Kung Fu flicks, put them in a blender and what do you get? MANBORG! A sci-fi fantasy, adventure flick from Dark Sky Films.
Directed by Steven Kostanski and co-written by Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie take their audience an on all out war as the armies of hell take over the earth. It is up to Manborg (Matthew Kennedy) and his mostly crew to save the world. Along for the ride are Mina (Meredith Sweeney) , the knife fighting vixen, Australian punk rocker, Justice (Conor Sweeney) and Kung Fu Master #1 Man (portrayed by Ludwig Lee and voiced by Dragon Ball Z star Kyle Herbert), must save the earth from the demonic Count Draculon (Adam Brooks).
Manborg is an instant cult classic that must be watched alone or with friends. Green screen films will never be the same after seeing this hysterical take on the sci-fi genre. Matthew Kennedy can easily be this generations Bruce Campbell. Your sci-fi collection will not be complete until you see get your copy of Manborg.
