Malcolm Ingram Talks about his Kevin Smith Documentary ‘Clerk‘ Available now on Blu-ray and VHS from Mercantile Instinct.
Documentarian filmmaker, Malcolm Ingram had no easy task in following his friend Kevin Smith around to make a retrospective on the career of America’s favorite fanboy.
In ‘Clerk’, Ingram gives us a quick overview Smith’s career from, ‘Clerks‘ through his later works that originally premiered at the SXSW Festival in Texas. At one point, Ingram tells us how he fought with Smith and didn’t talk for several weeks because of Smith wanting to address the Harvey Weinstein issue that the documentarian wanted to avoid. Ingram relented, allowing Smith and the editor to shoot the scene and splice it into the documentary.
