We’ve backed that Lumpia, joined the Lumpia Wrecking Machine, now it’s time to Finish That Lumpia! – Lumpia With a Vengeance Trailer

First I need to mention I am a backer of the project and have been involved in some form or another to help out. That being said, I can attest to the love and labor everyone involved with Lumpia With a Vengeance has for the project. It has been a long journey, and it’s almost complete, just need a bit of help to WRAP THAT LUMPIA (I think it’s pun-nier than Finish That Lumpia).

From the trailer, you can see the action, humor, and cultural significance of the film. The first film was deemed The Ultimate Home Movie and its spirit is carried on in the sequel. There are also some big names attached to the project like Mark Munoz, Danny Trejo, Rico Anderson, and Joey Guila. It’s shaping up to be a bigger and better Lumpia.

Personally, what has me most excited is to see Joey Guila’s role, the lumpia vs. taquito showdown, and the inventive ways of weaponizing lumpia. For those that don’t know what lumpia is, it’s what many Americans refer to as an egg roll. It’s crispy, delicious, and deadly. If you’ve ever grabbed lumpia after your mom just sets it on the table, you’ve likely experienced minor burns on your hands and in your mouth. So seeing it used as a torcher device is wildly inventive, but also makes me hungry, which is a confusing feeling watching someone get tortured.
