Occupied France is on the verge of liberation and Wonder Woman continues to be a hope to protect those that need to be freed from German oppression. The symbol of hope that dawns the American flag and the darling of the newsreels, is the biggest thorn in the side of the Third Reich in Western Europe. If Von Schlitzer has his way, it would be Boyd the Duuek of Deception, the Lord of Illusion and Mistrust to bring down the Amazonian princess.
It is the Champion of Zeus that needs to defeat the Champion of Ares, in order to determine who of the gods will rule. An amazingly written and story by De Liz that is compliment by her husband’s inks and colors. This is the Wonder Woman story that needs to be read. If only The Legend of Wonder Woman was the prelude to Rebirth would this story have enhanced the DC Universe.
The only real downside of this story is that there are two more issues left in the series and we can only hope that this creative team will dominate another book for nine months.
