Justice League The Snyder Cut trailer premiered at DC FanDome
DC continues the big announcements and reveals with the premiere of the Justice League The Snyder Cut trailer! In the trailer, we get a glimpse of much deeper storylines for every member of the league. We see Ezra Miller’s Flash save Keirsey Clemons character, who I’m guessing is Iris. We see some of Ray Fisher’s Cyborg as a football star and what looks to be the loss of his father. On top of more Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Batman/Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck), Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), and Superman in his black suit (Henry Cavil).
The Snyder Cut looks to be delving into much more dramatic and emotional arcs for each character, which should add to the intensity and stakes of the movie. Personally, although I absolutely hate Man of Steel, I really enjoyed the director’s cut of BvS and really looking forward to Snyder bringing his vision of the league to life. The movement for The Snyder Cut was one of love and completely fan-driven. And since it isn’t getting a theatrical release or even a VOD release, it largely removes the financial/studio demands of the film that many directors are often beholden too. This is a pure passion project. I have never been let down by Snyder’s unrestricted cuts. The full cut of Watchmen is easily in the top of comic book movies made.
DC FanDome continues brining us incredible looks of upcoming projects and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Justice League The Snyder Cut is set to release in 2021 exclusive on the HBO Max streaming service.
