We’re creeping ever closer to the November 20th premiere date for Marvel and Netflix’s latest series, Jessica Jones. Today, we’re given our first official look at the eponymous hero played by Krysten Ritter, as well as our first official look at Mike Colter as Luke Cage, who is due his own Netflix series in the immediate future. Of course, one could view this series as a Breaking Bad spinoff — having been left for dead by the villainous Walter White, Jane Margolis moves to New York City where she undertakes a whole new crime-fighting persona as Jessica Jones (this stuff really writes itself). I kid.
Following the success of Daredevil, Marvel and Netflix have a lot of expectations to meet, even for a somewhat minor character like Jessica Jones. We’ll see, True Believers, if Marvel and Netflix can get two hits in a row when Jessica Jones debuts on November 20th.
