Jenna Ortega is Wednesday Addams in Netflix’s all-new live-action comedic coming-of-age tale, Wednesday
The starring role in Netflix’s new live-action coming-of-age comedy based on the iconic daughter of the Addams Family, Wednesday, has been cast! Jenna Ortega is Wednesday Addams. I’ve only seen/know of her performance as Brooklyn from Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, so I’m pretty sure she’s going to kill it as Wednesday. No word yet on when the series will air, but always exciting to know more about the series. With Tim Burton’s involvement, I’m holding out for Johnny Depp as Gomez. I predicted years ago that Burton would reboot The Addams Family with Depp as Gomez, so I’m just trying to be proven right. Anyway, we’ll keep you updated if any new information comes out, continue below to see the key art and production info from Netflix.
The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
