Stand-Up Comedian, Writer and Actor, Jamie Kennedy Talks About His Latest Film, ‘Don’t Suck‘ Co-Starring Matt Rife Available on Friday, December 1, 2023.
Stand-up comedian, writer and actor, Jamie Kennedy stars in the new comedy, ‘Don’t Suck‘ with rising sensation, Matt Rife, available on Friday, December 1, 2023 on VOD.
‘Don’t Suck‘ was written by Rick D’Elia, a stand-up comedian, actor and producer that almost makes ‘Don’t Suck‘ feel like a documentary, giving us a peek behind the curtain of how comedians treat one another and how they are disrespected by the general public, the only twist to the story is that Matt Rife’s character, Ethan is a 3000-year-old vampire.
In ‘Don’t Suck‘, Kennedy plays Pete, a well known comedian on a down turn who was just hired to open for Russell Peters in Las Vegas for his new comedy special. Ethan decides to do something new with his un-life, with zero understanding of satire or sarcasm, taking to the stage, trying to pull off one-liners that fail, except for one that gets a laugh out of Pete.
Thanks to Pete’s chuckle, Ethan propositions Pete that if he agrees to take him on the road to show him the ropes, that he will fund the entire trip to Las Vegas. As you can image, the journey is often more enjoyable than the destination.
‘Don’t Suck‘ is a true labor of love and a must watch for any young comedian trying to make in the world that has very little respect for the artform. What Kennedy and crew manage to capture is the darker side of comedy with a humorous twist that will give a great appreciation for the world of stand-up comedy.
‘Don’t Suck‘ will be available on Friday, December 1, 2023 via VOD.
