Jacqueline Piñol Talks Spider Man: Miles Morales, Bosch, The Canine Condition, being immortalized in a video game and being on an Emmy nominated series.
The amazingly kind and funny Jacqueline Piñol took the time to talk to us about her work in voice over, especially as Rio Morales aka Mama Spider-Man in Spider Man: Miles Morales, her role as Julie Espinosa on the Emmy nominated Amazon Prime series Bosch, as well as her new documentary series The Canine Condition: A Dogumentary Series, where we she was pregnant with her son throughout the filming.
This is the second go around as Rio Morales for Piñol, a polyglot who speaks English, Spanish, French, Italian and is learning Mandarin.
Born in Queens, Piñol moved to Los Angeles at a young age with her parents and 2 sisters. A determined child, she always knew she wanted to be an actress. While attending Beverly Hills High School, she was busy early on with commercial jobs and landed her first television role as Ricky Martin’s younger sister on General Hospital. She went on to attend college at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and continued to pursue her dreams. Her resume grew quickly, landing major roles on popular shows including Ponderosa, Resurrection Blvd, CSI: New York, Lincoln Heights and many more. A woman that can do it all, Piñol has also excelled as a voiceover actress in feature films such as Bride Wars (Anne Hathaway & Kate Hudson) and in some of the most popular video games including Transformers: The Game, Unchartered 3, Quantum Break, and to name a few.
Piñol also talks to us about how her fear of dogs as a child lead her into animal advocacy, adopting six of them on her own, leading to the The Canine Condition: A Dogumentary Series coming into existence.
