Blade Runner 2049 and Always Shine‘s Mackenzie Davis is punk rocker in the midst of meltdown in the trailer for the new film Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town. They’re few and far between, but I’m happy that writer-director Christian Papierniak is still making punk rock stories for the screen and the trailer for Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town looks to be a madcap dash across Los Angeles, one where nothing goes right and the calamity piles upon each other into a gloriously chaotic clusterfuck.
Izzy (Davis) is obviously a hot mess, drowning her problems in ample amounts of booze as she stumbles through life. Upon learning that her ex-boyfriend Roger (Alex Russell) is about to have an engagement party, the disheveled punk rocker races across town to crash the party. Along the way Davis’ Izzy will cross paths with an array of co-stars, including Alia Shawkat, Carrie Coon, Haley Joel Osment, Annie Potts, and LaKeith Stanfield.
Shout! Factory will release Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town into theaters on May 4, 2018. Make sure you have all your transportation plans sorted out before making the mad dash to the theater.
