Jeffrey Hatcher’s ‘Holmes & Watson‘, directed by the incredible David Ellenstein, is a rollercoaster ride of thrills and suspense that’ll have you glued to your seat from start to finish.

“Before I directed this play, I was not a huge Sherlock Holmes enthusiast, but the play led me to read the Conan Doyle source material and I gained a new understanding for the lasting appeal of the detective. These stories are extremely well written. I became captivated by the detail and specificity of the character and literary style. I became a Sherlock fan. There is a reason Mr. Holmes endures through all sorts of adaptations and across time,” commented Ellenstein from an earlier press statement.

Ellenstein’s genius shines bright as he masterfully guides the cast through every twist and turn, creating an electrifying atmosphere that’ll leave you on the edge of your seat, piecing every detail together. Richard Baird leads the charge as Dr. Watson, brings a commanding presence to the stage that’ll have you hanging on his every word. This stellar ensemble including Matt Koenig, Matthew Floyd Miller, Nicholas Mongiardo-Cooper, Mike Peebler, Alice Sherman, and Christopher M. Williams, they hold your attention for 90-minutes straight.

The intimate setting of the Laguna Playhouse adds an extra layer of immersion, making you feel like you’re right there with Holmes and Watson as they crack the case. The stunning designs from Stephen Gifford, Kate Bergh, Jared A. Sayeg, and Ian Scot, making every scene a visual feast that’ll leave you sheer awe of their combined talents.
