Hatsune-Miku Project Diva – Future Tone Review
If you are looking for a great console dance game, you will want to check out our Hatsune-Miku Project Diva – Future Tone Review.
Gameplay
For anyone not familiar with the Hatsune-Miku dance games, bright and fun music videos display in the background while the buttons you need to push fly across the screen into their designated slots. While it is a little hard to keep up with where those slots are and when the button is going to fly into said slot, it still offers the challenge and most importantly the level of fun a great dance game should provide. Other than that, this game has everything you’d expect to have in a dance game.
I found it was really difficult to keep up with the exact moment to get the perfect hit, but dance games normally aren’t my thing. Some notes you have to hold down the button to obtain the maximum amount of points for that note. Hatsune-Miku: Project Diva – Future Tone is still a fun and easy to pick up and get into kind of game, despite not being an expert.
As you can see at the bottom of the screenshot, it keeps track of the percentage of notes you have hit. As you progress, it tends to get harder and harder to successfully hit the notes, depending on the song. However, there is a threshold that once you cross, clears the song and you will be able to progress to the next one. So, you don’t have to be an expert and get a 100%; unless you’re a completionist, then best of luck to you.
With over 200+ songs and 300+ character customization options, Hatsune-Miku Project Diva – Future Tone is a great fast-paced dance game. It has two different song packs: “Colorful Tone.” a collection of songs from the Project Mirai games. and “Future Sound,” songs from past Project Diva games.
While the display of which button to push is a bit confusing at times, if this is the type of game you are into, you should definitely check it out. There is a prelude version available on Playstation 4 that comes with two songs and a few customization options for free. So, if you’re thinking about this game, be sure to check out the demo preview and get a feel for the controls to see if this game is for you.
Hatsune-Miku Project Diva – Future Tone is available now for the Playstation 4.
