The History Channel three-night mini-series Sons of Liberty is releasing on Blu-Ray. The action-packed docudrama features Ben Barnes as Sam Adams at the peak of the colonies desire for liberty from the “Mother England.”
Irishman Jason O’Mara portrays George Washington and does an amazing job with the birth of a new nation while cutting ties from the old. The series takes us from the Boston Massacre, through the Boston Tea party and the Revolutionary. It highlights the sacrifices of all those who were willing to die for freedom without the stability of the island monarchy.
At times, Sons of Liberty is overly romanticized creating series of events that only History Channel can provide to enhance the storytelling of what happened within the soon to be 13 original States.
