Writer-Director Robin Bain, along with stars Dare Taylor and Willow Grey Talks about the New LGBTQ+ Drama ‘Girls on Film‘ releasing via VOD on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Writer-Director, Robin Bain had given up on Hollywood giving her, her breaks and decided that the only way to tell the stories she wanted to see was to write and direct them herself. Her previous films, ‘Girls Lost‘ and ‘Girls Lost: A Hollywood Story‘ dealt with the darker side of Tinsel Town, where women who were down on their luck had to turn being escorts in order to survive.
In her latest film, ‘Girls on Film‘, Bain takes us on a journey of cam girl Jenna Thayer, AKA Rain (Dare Taylor) who is evicted from her home once the landlord discovers she isn’t just studying for her nursing degree.
Jenna makes the unlikely of friends in Blake (Willow Grey), a trust fund baby, who was neglected by her family looking for anything that allows her to feel something beyond numbness. The two encounter on a romantic relationship as Jenna AKA Rain’s camming becomes more erotic, but the new found bond has endangered not only Rain’s future career as a nurse, but allowed Blake’s own personal demons to resurface.
We spoke with Bain, Taylor and Grey about ‘Girls on Film‘, the various layers in what these characters experienced and the big takeaway from ‘Girls on Film‘.
