Just in time to celebrate the 90th birthday of mega star William Shatner, Giorgio Serafini talks about his latest film and the first comedy he’s ever directed, Senior Moment available in limited release and on VOD, Friday, March 26, 2021.
Belgium born, Italian director Giorgio Serafini (The Tracker, The Good War, The Falcon and the Dove) steps behind the camera yet again to give us a delightful coming of age comedy in rediscovering ones self at any age with Senior Moment.
Official Synopsis:
Victor Martin (William Shatner) is a retired NASA test pilot often seen speeding around Palm Springs in his vintage Porsche convertible with his best friend Sal (Christopher Lloyd) in tow. His life changes when his license is revoked for drag racing and his car impounded. Forced to take public transportation for the first time, he meets his polar opposite Caroline (Jean Smart) and learns to navigate love and life again as he goes up against the state’s new DA to get back his license and car.
Shatner, who turned 90 years old yesterday continues to give us some amazing performances and with the combination of Lloyd and love interest Smart, we know just how much fun these actors have in the Palm Springs, CA desert. Palms Springs itself is a character in the film, which we discuss with Serafini about the charm of the city and how interacting with city gives a warmth to the film.
Serafini is candid in his approach to filmmaking, the desire of figuring out what to do with our lives when we all finally grow up and the hope of keeping that youthful desire and inspiration.
Senior Moment will be available in limited release and on VOD, Friday, March 26, 2021.
