Gears of War 4 Goes Gold
Gears of War 4 goes gold, releasing their gold disc to manufacturing ahead of its October 11th worldwide release
To be honest, I wasn’t sure what this meant. But after a bit of research (googling) I have found it mean means that Gears of War 4 is finally at a point the developers deem worthy to be in hour homes. So good news everyone, there is no delay and we will all able to lancer some beasts in 17-21 days.
Another major milestone for Xbox, is that Gears 4 will be the first-ever Gears of War title available in the Xbox Play Anywhere program. If I’m correct, that means if you own it on Xbox, you also own it on Windows 10, and you will be able to switch between the two to play the same game, as well as Cross Play between the platforms to play with others. Which might be the reason I get fired from my day job… The feature sounds great, but I don’t know if I should be able to pick up my save on my lunch break.
Anyway, the huge milestone event was celebrated by Microsoft’s Board of Directors, who traveled to the Microsoft Canada Excellence Centre in Vancouver, B.C., to help mark the occasion alongside Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, and Rod Fergusson, head of the Vancouver-based development studio The Coalition, responsible for the development of Gears of War.
