Jim Lujan is a tour de force. Not only did he create and director FOREVER-LAND, but with his writing and composing partner, Kounterclockwise, Lujan has created an hour long indie animated film that shows creativity, ingenuity and with a minimal budget was able to tell a good story with a fantastic soundtrack.
The premise is simple, evil ruler Infinitus (Scott Hinze) seeks out to destroy anything that is funky, positive and creative. His reign of terror is challenged by the forces of Deacon Burns and Kaya Rogue who who must restore the funk and positivity in a world that has been exhausted and nearly extinguished by tyranny.
Lujan’s animation has that mid-90s feel with a Latin flair. It’s refreshing, yet classic where you get sucked into the story and before you realize that the animation team was only Lujan himself. Proving that with talent, drive and determination one person with a vision and a handful of equality talented friend can get any project done.
FOREVER-LAND premiered on YouTube. The DVD and Soundtrack can be purchased on FOREVER-LAND.com, which will be well worth it. If you want a unique animate feature, FOREVER-LAND is the one to watch.
