The First 7 Minutes of Mortal Kombat features a violent and traumatic conflict between Hanzo Hasashi / Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada) and Bi-Han / Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim)
In a little more than two days, Mortal Kombat will release in theaters and HBO Max. As if we weren’t hyped enough, Warner Bros. Pictures have released the first 7 minutes of Mortal Kombat for us all to be teased. The video shows a violent and traumatic encounter between Hanzo Hasashi / Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada) and Bi-Han / Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim). I don’t know about y’all, but Bi-Han definitely feels like the bad guy in this clip. We get to Sanada execute some glorious fight choreography and the origin of Scorpion’s Iconic Tethered Kunai, but the film cuts right before the combat between Scorpion and Sub-Zero begins.
I was already hyped for the film, the action looks incredible, but it also looks to be delving into the rich backstory of the franchise, which is something I feel is far less appreciated when compared to the franchise’s Fatalities. But if that’s not enough, there’s also the red band trailer, and the soundtrack to hold you over until Friday, April 23rd, 2021 when Mortal Kombat releases in theaters and HBO Max.
