What was your first Cosplay Experience?
MegaCon 2006, I cosplayed as Sango from InuYasha and loved the environment and enjoyed being able to express myself freely.
How long have you been Cosplaying?
I have been cosplaying for 11 years.
What is your favorite cosplay you have worn/created?
It’s a tough call to say the least, but as of now I think Alexstrasza has got to be number one on my list, she was a dream cosplay of mine and to be able to wear it with phenomenal feedback to support me, it’s definitely given me a reason to continue wearing and making more and more cosplays in the future.
If you had unlimited resources, what Cosplay would you create?
Right now, I’ve been wanting to build Aela from Skyrim, however if I had unlimited resources and an unlimited budget, I would probably work on building Furiosa from Mad Max, Flemeth from Dragon Age or Tali from Mass Effect.
What advice would you offer others trying to break into Cosplay?
Don’t let others judge you for being you, go out there and have fun. Never put yourself down because someone is a better crafter than you; everyone has their own uniqueness to them. Be the reason someone smiles when you fail or make a mistake because you accepted the failure as a learning experience. Remember that nobody is perfect, especially in the cosplay community because there is no such thing as “wrong” art. Most importantly, have fun.
