What was your first Cosplay Experience?
I use to cosplay and dress up when I was younger, way before I even knew what cosplaying was!
Not just on Halloween either, but year round. I was an odd one, But my mom let me do what made me happy.
My first actual cosplay experience would be Anime North, a Toronto convention in 2010!

What was your first Cosplay Experience?
I had admired anime since I was little, but never really knew about cosplays or conventions until I hit highschool and started to get more exposed to the internet. I saved up for about a full 2 years, went to my grandma for sewing help, and dragged my mom with me to my first convention! My mom never showed any interest in anime, but she had so much fun and wanted to go back with me the following year.

How long have you been Cosplaying?
2010 strikes the year I started actually cosplaying, and knowing what it was.

What is your favorite cosplay you have worn/created?
My favorite cosplay to date, is actually one of my most recent! My Female Natsu!
Not only did my awesome friend Peck edit them for me and truely make me look like a wizard, It was also really easy and fun to make, and comfortable to wear at conventions!

If you had unlimited resources, what Cosplay would you create?
If I had unlimited resources to create cosplays…. I don’t even know where I would start. There’s so many cosplays I want to do, I couldn’t possibly choose. But if I HAD to choose… it would be some of the original cosplay designs I have created and drawn up, which you can find on my page!

What advice would you offer others trying to break into Cosplay?
The best advice I can offer to new cosplayers, Is pretty commonly given; but very powerful words..
NEVER GIVE UP!
I didn’t get into cosplaying heavily until the last year and a half! Before I would just cosplay once a year to Anime North, now not only do I make cosplays to wear to conventions, I make cosplays….just for the sake of making them! Especially for photoshoots!
I couldn’t sew worth crap when I started out. I’m honestly still not the best, but every time I try something new, I learn new things!
Always ask around.
Watch tutorials.
Look up several reference pictures for the cosplay you plan to make, or even make your own (if you can) to help you better understand what you need to make the cosplay possible!
And most importantly!
Be open to making new friends!
My first convention, I was so shy, until I realized how open and loving everyone is!
Every convention I go to now, I always make new friends! Even friends on the other side of the world.
Cosplay brings everyone together, And I’m glad to be a part of it!
