What was your first Cosplay Experience?:
My first convention was Rhode Island Comic Con. I made a very terrible “Female” Jack of Blades from Fable, which really was a dress with a poorly made mask I made in a few days. I was so proud of the costume, but I’ve hid the pictures of it so deep in my computer it never will be found again, hehe.
How long have you been Cosplaying?:
I’ve been cosplaying since November 2013. I actually didn’t get serious into cosplay until about June 2014. My second cosplay, Headmistress Fiora, was not accurate to the character. My Female Titan was a cosplay I’m proud of. I am the original designer of the widely available zentai suit on zentai-zentai.com. I sold the rights to the company, and they have sold many suits. I actually have 0 interest in wearing the costume anymore because so many people own it. In June I debuted my original Anubis cosplay, and the response to it made me feel absolutely amazing. Shortly after, I began my first Halo suit cosplay. After a bit of skill refining, I started making Halo suits to actually sell. Now I’ve made over a dozen suits for other people and am finally getting back to making costumes for me!
What is your favorite cosplay you have worn/created?:
By far, my favorite cosplay would be Anubis. Never would I have dared to wear such a thing in public. I never was a girl to show off my goods in front of people. At first I was afraid how people would react to Anubis, but at AnimeNext 2014, people were blown away by it. People come up to me and tell me how beautiful the cosplay is and how fantastic my body looks in it. Never had I ever gotten compliments on my body until then. In Anubis I just feel like I could take on the world.
If you had unlimited resources, what Cosplay would you create?:
I would definitely create Diablo from Diablo 3 or Sauron from LOTR. I will be tackling some Diablo 3 and LOTR cosplays this year!
What advice would you offer others trying to break into Cosplay?:
Don’t care what people think. Do your thing. If you’re proud of a cosplay, and it’s your first, then rock that thing into next week. Only you can let someone else’s opinion bother you.
