What was your first Cosplay Experience?
My first cosplay experience was was actually a costume party, i went all out and put together a Darth Nehilus costume what cost over $1000, from there i had to find an avenue to continue wearing it, this lead me to cosplaying at conventions (previously only went out of costume), from there my hobby grew and it became a second life for me to indulge in, somewhere i felt free and something i completely enjoyed.
How long have you been Cosplaying?
I have not been cosplaying long, i started in 2010 so it has only been 5 years but i am really enjoying it and hope to continue for many more years to come. My plans are to get my family into it, as my young boy gets older i want him to cosplay as well.
What is your favorite cosplay you have worn?
This is a really hard question to answer as i really like most of my costumes, it is a toss up between my spiderman and my flash costume, spiderman always seems to be a huge hit for hospital visits but flash seems to get the most love during conventions as it is not as common to see.
If you had unlimited resources, what Cosplay would you create?
Hmm for me its space more than money but i would want to get awesome costumes for my kid instead of myself, i want a fully automated mini ironman or hulk buster suit to fit my little boy (when he gets a little older), i have so many plans for him that i don’t have much lined up for myself any more. But if i had to choose i would say a Hulk Buster for myself as well.
What advice would you offer others trying to break into Cosplay?
Have fun and do what interests you, enjoy cosplaying and don’t let people get you down, if your costume is cheap or expensive it has no relevance on the hobby it is all about how you enjoy the time.
