Executive Producer and Director, Kevin Tancharoen Talks His New Series ‘The Brothers Sun‘ Now Streaming on Netflix.
Executive Producer and Director, Kevin Tancharoen brings forth one of the best action-crime family-comedies ever delivered from the creative minds of Byron Wu and Brad Falchuk to Netflix entitled, ‘The Brothers Sun‘ (now streaming). We chatted with Tancharoen about the universality in themes of being bi-cultural while growing up first generation American.
The opening scene of ‘The Brothers Sun‘ is what sold Tancharoen on becoming apart of the project. It also helped that it was in his own part of Los Angeles, allowing him to return to his own bed every night instead of being on location away from his family.
The cast that includes: Michelle Yeoh (Eileen “Mama” Sun), Justin Chien (Charles), Sam Song Li (Bruce Sun), Highdee Kuan (Alexis), and Joon Lee (TK), has this as a potential Best Ensemble Cast contender for next season’s award shows, as it was released on January 4, 2024, past the consideration date.
Yeoh is a legend and as always owns every season, but the world needs to keep their eyes open for Chien and Song Li (who makes his debut in ‘The Brothers Sun‘) as they long, bright futures ahead of them, and with potentially many more seasons to come of ‘The Brothers Sun‘.
All episodes of ‘The Brothers Sun‘ are now streaming on Netflix.
